Grad student party

Ok, so truly the idea strike me when I was going to this party. I knew there will be some open minded individuals, so I decided to try it out. Actually it worked quite all right. I just realized that comming to the party, with claim I am going to photograph yours shoes does not fly well. So I am planning to modify my approach a bit. Sme people were really enthusiastic look at our stripes!

Then the party started with game of Croquet gone wild

And somehow at the end congregated along sidewalk.

And where would a good party be without some nice nerdy fun.

How did this whole thing started?

I was at the party with my recently acquired Nikon D60 camera with 2 photo lenses and huge enthusiasm for being able to take pictures right at the time I think the shot is just about perfect, unlike the "point and shoot" or more appropriately "point, click, wait, take picture, get surprised what is in the picture" type cameras.
Anyway I was at the party and I was taking pictures of people when one lady after nice head shot pointed me to her shoes and said - Do not take picture of me, take picture of my shoes, I really like them. And so I did.

I had a lot of fun taking pictures at more parties afterwards when it hit me. It would be fun to make a blog about just shoes. My travels, friends and world from shoe perspective.
Especially since I am 'huge shoe connoisseur' All my shoes fit into 4 shelves and that includes my hiking, ski and running shoes. And my sandals after they were reaching their end of life I took them to cobbler shop and had them resoled. You may find them throughout the blog. I still love them.
